Job summary

Origin Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer - Network Operations to support and improve our enterprise network services across LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, VPN and cloud connections. You’ll resolve incidents, participate in change activities and partner with engineering teams to deliver stable, resilient network services across the business.

In this role you will automate routine tasks with Python, PowerShell, Bash or REST APIs, and drive operational excellence through tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise network environments in an operational support or network engineering role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN and cloud networking.
• Experience automating operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash or REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise networking technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure automation is advantageous.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a passion for improving operational stability and service reliability.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation and operational standards.

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer - Network Operations, you'll play a key role in supporting and continuously improving Origin's enterprise network services. Working across operational support, automation and cloud connectivity, you'll ensure our network remains secure, reliable and highly available while identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.You'll be responsible for maintaining core network services, resolving incidents, supporting change activities and partnering with engineering teams to deliver stable and resilient network services across the business.
