Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure programs in a multidisciplinary project environment. You will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to define, analyse and assure system solutions across the full lifecycle, using Sparx EA (and Cameo/Capella) as primary tools.

Brisbane-based, permanent role with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar).
• 6+ years of systems engineering experience.
• CPEng, RPEQ or CSEP professional accreditation.
• Experience using MBSE tools: Sparx EA (preferred), Cameo, Capella; IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jira.
• Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law and EN5012x.
• Familiarity with INCOSE Handbook or iESM Handbook; rail project experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system architectures, functional decompositions, interfaces and baselines across complex projects.
• Apply MBSE methodologies to support system definition, analysis and integration.
• Coordinate technical integration across disciplines, delivery packages and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain requirements traceability, configuration management and verification & validation activities.
• Support integration, testing and commissioning to align design requirements and outcomes.
• Facilitate technical workshops and resolve system-level risks and interface challenges.
• Ensure compliance with EN 50126/8/9 ISO 15288.

Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure programs. Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, you will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to define, analyse and assure system solutions across the full engineering lifecycle. Sparx EA is the preferred tool, however experience using similar software such as Cameo, Capella, Relatics or similar is also accepted.

Location- Brisbane, QLD

Duration- Permanent, Monday-Friday, Standard Hours

Salary- $170,000 - $190,000 + Super

Responsibilities

Required Experience

• Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar
• 6+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering positions.
• CPEng, RPEQ or CSEP
• Prior use of: Sparx EA (preferred), Cameo or Capella IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jira or requirements capture tools
• Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x
• Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook
• Previous experience on at least one rail project
