Job summary

Transgrid seeks a Senior Regulatory Analyst to join the Regulatory Strategy team and shape the regulatory and policy framework for Australia’s energy transition. You will contribute to economic, financial, and regulatory analysis across a diverse portfolio and support major submissions and reform activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulation, regulatory economics, energy markets, or policy.
• Knowledge of electricity network regulation and National Electricity Rules.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret evidence and produce defensible recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to deliver with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory analysis and deliver evidence-based recommendations that support Transgrid’s strategic objectives.
• Prepare regulatory submissions, revenue proposals, briefing papers, and decision papers for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess regulatory reforms, AER decisions and National Electricity Rules requirements, identifying risks, opportunities and business impacts.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting, RIT‑T processes, and stakeholder consultation activities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
