Job summary

Transgrid is seeking a Senior Network Planning Engineer in Sydney to lead planning, modelling and analysis of the transmission network. You will develop network models, assess solutions and prepare robust technical reports for stakeholders and regulators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electricity network planning.
• Strong understanding of electricity transmission and distribution networks, the NEM, planning standards and legislation.
• Ability to interpret and communicate network simulations and power system studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead short, medium and long-term modelling, forecasting and network planning analysis.
• Coordinate planning work requests between Transgrid and network service providers.
• Contribute to the Transmission Annual Planning Report (TAPR).
• Author and review technical reports, option studies and stakeholder presentations.
