Qualifications

• Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive experience in electricity market modelling and power system planning.
• Advanced PLEXOS experience essential; exposure to Databricks, Python and/or R highly regarded.
• Strong technical expertise in developing, validating and troubleshooting complex analytical models.
• Experience leading or contributing to robust quality assurance processes and technical reviews.
• Experience preparing technical reports and industry-facing analysis for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex market modelling, forecasting and power system planning studies informing major investment and policy decisions.
• Act as a technical authority for modelling QA, ensuring robust analytical outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve electricity market models and methodologies.
• Identify gaps and bottlenecks, delivering recommendations to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Deliver technical reports, publications and presentations communicating complex analysis clearly.
• Mentor and support analysts through coaching and knowledge sharing.
