About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior End User Computing Engineer to provide Level 3 engineering, automation and operational support across complex end-user computing platforms and services.
The role has a strong focus on engineering, service modernisation and automation using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Microsoft Purview Information Protection and PowerShell. Recent, hands-on experience with these technologies is a priority requirement.
Working closely with technical teams, vendors and internal stakeholders, you will help deliver secure and reliable end-user services, improve operational efficiency and provide expert technical advice across supported platforms and technologies.
The Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, maintain and provide Level 3 support for complex end-user computing platforms, including standard operating environments, corporate devices, productivity services and remote-access solutions.
- Develop and support automation, deployment pipelines and configuration-as-code solutions using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Git and PowerShell.
- Automate the deployment of Microsoft Purview Information Protection controls.
- Plan and implement upgrades, migrations, application deployments, patching and service changes across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor endpoint, application, platform and end-to-end service health, capacity and performance.
- Diagnose root causes and implement sustainable solutions to complex technical issues.
- Produce technical designs, implementation plans, test plans, operational procedures and support documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and Level 1 and Level 2 support personnel to implement changes and resolve incidents.
- Support team capability through technical guidance, knowledge transfer and documentation.
What You Will Bring
- Expert, hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines, including source control, branching, pull requests, deployment stages, approvals, variables and service connections.
- Experience troubleshooting pipelines and managing controlled releases across production and non-production environments.
- Strong experience administering and engineering Microsoft Purview Information Protection, including sensitivity labels, label policies and Data Loss Prevention configurations.
- Demonstrated experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop in a complex enterprise environment.
- Expert knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Intune and Group Policy.
- Experience across compliance, MDM/MAM, application deployment, patching and Standard Operating Environment management.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, including servicing profiles, deployment and update channels.
- The ability to produce high-quality technical designs, implementation plans, standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
- Strong initiative, technical judgement, problem-solving ability and stakeholder engagement skills.

- BitLocker, attack surface reduction rules and application control technologies
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and FSLogix
- Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive for Business
- Application packaging and deployment technologies
- Patch My PC and Windows Update services
- Vulnerability remediation and patch governance
- iOS, iPadOS and Apple Business Manager.
- Knowledge of Australian Government cyber security requirements and processes.
- Experience applying the Information Security Manual, Essential Eight maturity controls and ACSC hardening guidance.
- Experience supporting Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments.
- Relevant Microsoft, cloud, endpoint management, DevOps or cyber security certifications. The source does not nominate specific certifications, so these would be advantageous rather than mandatory.
