Law Squared in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne is seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer to own client relationships and complex matters across the full employment lifecycle, without hierarchy or billable pressure.

We prefer full-time; part-time may be discussed for the right candidate. The role offers flexible, hybrid working and a chance to shape strategy as a senior voice within a human-centred firm.

Qualifications

• 6 - 10 years' PQE in employment and workplace relations, with a strong technical foundation and confidence advising on complex or sensitive matters
• A business development mindset - you see growing the practice as part of the job
• A commercial approach - practical, strategic advice aligned to client objectives
• Real client relationship skills and a proactive, ownership-driven approach to your work

Responsibilities

• Advise across the full spectrum of employment law - hiring, managing and firing - for both ad hoc and retainer clients
• Build and manage client relationships in line with the team's strategic plans, with real autonomy and minimal supervision
• Play an active role in client acquisition and retention for the Employment + Workplace Relations team
• Contribute to the team and firm's strategic direction as a senior voice, not just a delivery lawyer

Law Squared is a Human Centred law firm built on fixed fees, not billable hours. We're looking for a Senior Employment Lawyer to take ownership of client relationships and complex matters across the full employment lifecycle - without the hierarchy or billable pressure of a traditional firm.

Full-time preferred; we're open to discussing part-time for the right candidate.
