Job summary

Alstom in Sydney region is seeking an Electronics Technician to support the maintenance and repair of electronic systems for railway projects. You will fix a range of electronic equipment across multiple train fleets in a hands-on role.

Two positions are available: one permanent and one 24-month fixed-term contract, based at our Rouse Hill workshop. The role emphasises safety, accuracy and teamwork within a global mobility leader.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent Australian qualification).
• Sound trouble shooting skills with electronic equipment and systems (PCB board diagnostic).
• Experience using troubleshooting equipment (Oscilloscope, multimeter, external power supply).
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain workshop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine examinations, fault finding on component level, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on electronic equipment.
• Installing system hardware and software upgrades.
• Active maintenance and repair of the test bench and workshop equipment.
• Report daily/weekly on activities, problems, and measures taken.
• Write and edit procedures, reports and check sheets.
