Job summary

Ampcontrol in Perth seeks an Electrical Team Leader to drive safe, high-quality electrical field service delivery across customer sites. You’ll lead a skilled team, manage daily activities, and build strong customer relationships while upholding safety standards and project requirements.

Ideal candidates will have electrical trade qualifications and experience leading teams in industrial or mining environments, with strong communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in an Electrical discipline.
• Experience leading or supervising electrical teams in industrial/mining/utilities environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and leading safe work practices.
• Experience with fault finding, maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with customers, leaders and team members.
• Experience managing competing priorities under demanding schedules.
• Experience with Standalone Power Systems is highly regarded.
• Microsoft Office competency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical teams on customer sites, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and alignment with project requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance with HSEQ, SWMS and safety procedures.
• Coordinate daily work activities, resources and scheduling to meet project outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and pre-starts to drive safe practices and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with documentation control, testing records and reporting for quality and consistency.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and provide technical support.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovations to boost efficiency.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or cost impacts and escalate as needed.
• Ensure testing equipment and plant are maintained and fit for purpose before deployment.
