Job summary

NT WorkSafe, a division of the Northern Territory Government, invites applications for two ongoing full-time vacancies in Darwin for Senior WorkSafe Inspector, Electrical. The role conducts electrical inspections, enforces safety standards, and provides guidance to industry.

Candidates must hold an NT Unrestricted Electrical Licence or equivalent, have regulatory experience, and be willing to travel within the Territory.

Qualifications

• Current NT Unrestricted Electrical Mechanic’s Licence or A Grade Electrical Mechanic’s Licence.
• Experience in electrical inspection work.
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform regulatory functions of an Authorised Officer/Inspector in accordance with NT WorkSafe legislation.
• Undertake inspections, test electrical installations using tools and equipment, investigate incidents and enforce compliance.
• Monitor electrical contractors to ensure ongoing compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation and electrical standards.
• Represent the division at forums and deliver educational sessions to promote electrical safety.
