Job summary

29Metals Limited in Western Australia is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation, reporting to the Engineering Superintendent and working on an 8:6 roster.

You will deliver site electrical projects, HV/LV/MV distribution, and manage contractors, with focus on safety and on-time delivery.

Candidates should have an electrical engineering degree, mining plant experience, supervisory experience, and a valid C-class license.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering.
• Experience with mineral processing plants and power distribution equipment.
• Supervisory experience in high-risk work.
• A current C-class manual driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise and leadership in project initiation, cost estimation, budget submissions, and project delivery.
• Delivering electrical power and system engineering solutions, including HV, LV, and MV distribution, as well as project scoping, design, and commissioning.
• Managing contractors and ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Performing risk assessments, JSEAs, and safety investigations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Reviewing and developing equipment strategies to align with statutory, Australian, and site standards.
• Driving innovation by managing changes to processes, equipment, or plant operations.
