Job summary

Keywest Resources Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator for its Perth-based team, supporting a robust WA mining and resources sector pipeline.

The role focuses on taking ownership of tenders from review to client submission, including pre-IFC estimates for Design & Construct projects. This senior position requires a trade-qualified electrical professional with mining construction experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with experience across large-scale NPI construction.
• 5+ years' estimating experience within mining and construction.
• Experience estimating electrical packages for mining and resources projects.
• Experience preparing estimates for Design & Construct contracts from Scope of Works, drawings and specifications.
• Proven track record of contributing to and securing successful project tenders.
• Ideally 2+ years in current estimating role with a Tier 1 contractor or major-project business.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work to tender deadlines.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, budgets and quotations, including for Design & Construct contracts prior to IFC design.
• Manage the full tender lifecycle from initial review through to client submission.
• Complete material take-offs and develop labour and resource requirements.
• Review project scope, specifications and technical documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and assess pricing.
• Prepare tender documentation, methodologies and manning schedules.
• Identify commercial and project risks throughout the tender process.
• Support tender negotiations and help secure new projects.

Job description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join its Perth-based team, supporting a strong pipeline of electrical construction work across the WA mining and resources sector.

This is a senior estimating position suited to a trade-qualified electrical professional with extensive large-scale NPI and mining construction experience. You will take ownership of tenders from initial review and material take-offs through to final client submission, including the preparation of estimates for Design & Construct projects prior to IFC design being available.

The Role

Working from the Cockburn Central office, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing detailed electrical estimates, budgets and quotations, including for Design & Construct contracts prior to IFC design
• Managing the full tender lifecycle from initial review through to client submission
• Completing material take-offs and developing labour and resource requirements
• Reviewing project scope, specifications and technical documentation
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and assess pricing
• Preparing tender documentation, methodologies and manning schedules
• Identifying commercial and project risks throughout the tender process
• Supporting tender negotiations and working with the wider team to secure new projects

What We're Looking For

This is a senior appointment and applicants will need to demonstrate:

• Electrical trade qualification with experience across large-scale NPI construction
• 5+ years' estimating experience within mining and construction
• Strong experience estimating electrical packages for mining and resources projects
• Demonstrated experience preparing estimates for Design & Construct contracts from Scope of Works, drawings and specifications
• A proven record of contributing to and securing successful project tenders
• Ideally 2+ years in your current or most recent estimating position with a reputable Tier 1 contractor or comparable major-project business
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, labour requirements, materials and subcontractor pricing
• High level of Excel competency
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work to tender deadlines
• Current C Class Driver's Licence
