Job summary

CE Group on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of custom and modular switchboards from concept through to manufacture. You will work closely with workshop and project teams to deliver safe, compliant electrical solutions across diverse projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

You will provide design leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with purchasing and project managers to meet budgets and schedules, while staying current with AS/NZS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience designing switchboards.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000, 61439, 2067).
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Experience preparing sheet metal manufacturing drawings.

We're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our switchboard manufacturing team, taking designs from concept through to manufacture and supporting the people who bring them to life ...

This role suits someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working closely with workshop and project teams, and improving how things are done. You'll also provide design leadership and mentor junior engineers and designers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver electrical designs for custom and modular switchboards and switchrooms, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, legislation and safety requirements
• Support Project Managers with technical documentation and deliver engineering work within approved budgets and project programmes
• Work with the purchasing team to coordinate materials and equipment procurement
• Resolve technical queries and provide engineering support to workshop teams throughout manufacture
• Lead design activities, mentor junior engineers and designers, and contribute to continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience designing custom and modular switchboards, including preparing sheet metal manufacturing drawings
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and electrical legislation for LV and HV equipment, particularly AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439 and AS 2067
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant specialist design software
• A practical, collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships and support the development of others
• RPEQ
