Advance Careers is working with a growing renewable energy developer delivering utility-scale solar + battery projects across Australia. We're searching for a technically skilled Electrical Engineer to lead early-stage project design and support delivery through to commissioning.

This is a hands-on role driving feasibility, design, grid connection, and EPC engagement across NEM-connected and off-grid assets.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead feasibility studies, layouts, yield analysis (pvDesign), and site screening
• Support grid connection strategy and liaise with consultants on GPS & R1–R3 compliance
• Input into EPC tendering, equipment specs, and technical scope
• Work closely with an international EPC team and support delivery for smaller projects

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years’ experience on utility-scale solar + BESS in Australia
• Strong design, compliance, and EPC interface knowledge
• Familiarity with AEMO, NER, GPS processes
• Proficiency in tools like pvDesign (RatedPower) highly regarded

The Role Setup

• ~70% office-based / 30% site-based
• Focus on early development now, with delivery work ramping up over 12–24 months
• Reporting to offshore EPC team
• Minimal external stakeholder interaction (~10%)
