Job summary

DMA Engineers Pty Ltd in Spring Hill, Brisbane, invites a Senior/Associate Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across building services projects. You’ll work with our electrical team and broader group to drive delivery from concept through to completion.

You’ll mentor engineers, coordinate disciplines, and liaise with clients and authorities, ensuring designs comply with Australian Standards and NCC. This is a pathway to leadership within a people-focused firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years’ experience in electrical services design within building services.
• RPEQ registration or working towards accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and electrical building services design principles.
• Strong experience in design and documentation of electrical systems for buildings (power, lighting, comms, security, dry fire).
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical services design across a wide range of building services projects.
• Overseeing documentation, design calculations, drawings, and schedules.
• Reviewing design outputs and supporting quality assurance across project deliverables.
• Mentoring engineers and designers within the electrical team.
• Coordinating with internal disciplines including mechanical, hydraulic, fire, and structural.
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, authorities, and external stakeholders.
• Supporting project planning, resourcing, fee input, and delivery strategy.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and the NCC.
• Contributing to client relationships, business development, and the growth of the electrical team.
