Job summary

Metso Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team supporting the GBPS - Grinding, Bulk, Pyro, SM-HPGR business unit. You will design and support electrical systems, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and controls for customer orders.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with controls, mechanical and project teams, ensure technical integrity, and assist with cost estimation and proposals while delivering high‑quality electrical solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years experience.
Strong leadership and project management capabilities including mentoring junior engineers.
Experience in mining, mineral processing or bulk material handling equipment design and engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering design and development with strong electrical engineering fundamentals and best practices.
Provide clear technical direction to electrical engineers and designers.
Mentor and develop the engineering team; ensure discipline excellence and technical integrity across projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects and cost estimates.
Prepare and review electrical specifications, single lines, wiring diagrams and bill of materials.
