Chandler Macleod in Booragoon invites you to join as Senior Electrical Engineer for major mining projects. You will lead electrical design through construction, commissioning and handover, with a focus on HV/LV power systems in heavy industrial environments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mining or mineral processing, strong experience with substations, protection systems and grid connections, and can manage consultants and cross-functional interfaces.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Electrical Engineer.
• 7+ years' experience within mining, mineral processing, alumina, resources or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong background in HV/LV electrical systems, power distribution and major capital project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee electrical engineering deliverables prepared by external engineering consultants.
• Provide technical guidance on HV/LV power distribution systems, switchgear, MCCs and associated infrastructure.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments and multidisciplinary engineering workshops.
• Support project execution through construction, commissioning, energisation and start-up activities.
• Ensure engineering solutions meet safety, quality and project requirements.
