Atlas NextWave seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead technical delivery on data centre power infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. You will oversee design reviews, ensure technically sound solutions, and drive projects from commissioning to handover.

The role emphasizes leadership across engineering teams, adherence to international standards, and collaboration with sales, procurement, and project management to achieve successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in critical power or data centres.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and emergency power solutions.
• Experience with design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with Australian and international electrical standards.
• AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

We are partnering with a leading global provider of critical power and infrastructure solutions for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Centre.

This role will provide technical leadership and engineering support across major projects throughout Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on mission-critical power infrastructure, technical design reviews and project delivery.

Working closely with sales, engineering, procurement and project management teams, you will act as a technical authority, ensuring engineering solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and successfully delivered through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise across critical power infrastructure projects.
• Review project designs, technical specifications, compliance documentation and engineering submissions.
• Assess project solutions for technical feasibility, buildability, cost efficiency and compliance with relevant standards.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and customers to support project delivery.
• Lead technical discussions throughout the project lifecycle, including installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review engineering drawings, technical documentation and as-built records, ensuring accuracy and revision control.

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years' engineering experience, ideally within critical power, data centres or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems, emergency power solutions and associated infrastructure.
• Experience across engineering design reviews, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Sound understanding of Australian and international electrical standards and industry codes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and detailed engineering specifications.
• AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.
