Job summary

GHD in North Queensland is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to lead electrical design and documentation for diverse infrastructure projects across Cairns, Mackay or Townsville. You will manage projects from concept through completion, mentor juniors, and liaise with authorities and utilities to ensure safe, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

At least 6 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in Building Services.
Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) or a mutually recognised registration (CPEng, RPEV).
Deep knowledge of electrical standards, codes and renewable energy solutions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, AGi32/DIALux and MS Office.
Strong ability to write technical reports, fee proposals and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead innovative electrical design for diverse building projects in North Queensland.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver sustainable solutions.
Provide technical leadership and client liaison, including proposals, reports and cost estimates.
Drive project success from concept to completion with safety and quality in mind.
Mentor and inspire junior engineers to develop technical leaders.
