Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Adelaide or Perth office, focusing on mining, industrial, and civil infrastructure projects. You will enhance electrical engineering capabilities, drive project delivery across feasibility to commissioning, and build client relationships in WA.

You will mentor junior engineers while collaborating with a broad team of professionals. The role offers in-person onboarding and a culture of growth within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree is required.
• Proven engineering/design experience in mining, local government or heavy industry sectors.
• Exposure to design/specification of industrial systems incl. HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems, motor controls.
• Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, reports and scope of works.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical components of projects across feasibility, detailed design, procurement, site construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineers across diverse projects in resources/industrial, transport, water and buildings.
• Provide technical advice on local sustaining capital projects and studies.
• Mentor, develop and guide junior engineers and grow the team.

Job Description

Our Resources + Industry team have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Adelaide or Perth office. This role will be focused on enhancing our local electrical engineering capabilities, capacity and client base. You will utilise your strong communication and technical skills to up-skill the current team and work on a range of mining, industrial and civil infrastructure projects.

How you’ll make a difference

Manage electrical components of projects across all phases of the project lifecycle including: feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement assistance, site construction and commissioning

Collaborate with skilled engineers across a range of diverse projects within resources / industrial, transport, water and buildings

Provide technical advice on local sustaining capital projects and studies

Mentor, develop and guide junior engineers whilst playing an active part in growing your team in size and capability.

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree
