Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver complex electrical design across transport, infrastructure, ports and maritime projects. You will oversee the design, implementation, and integration of electrical systems meeting safety, reliability and performance standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years in infrastructure, Chartered membership preferred.

  • Project Delivery & Technical Skills: Proven ability to manage complex designs on large-scale transport or urban projects, with strong knowledge of power systems, traction, and Australian standards.
  • Communication & Commercial Capability: Strong reporting, proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, and business development skills, supported by solid organizational and time management abilities.
  • Collaboration, Growth & Performance: Effective team collaborator across regions, committed to continuous learning, quality delivery, meeting deadlines, and building strong client and internal relationships.

Job Description

As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, ports and maritime. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of key projects, such as traction linewide systems, resignalling programs, SAT/TAP initiatives, and electrical infrastructure upgrades. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and integration of electrical systems that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
