Job summary

UON Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team delivering site-specific electrical solutions in the resources sector. You will lead electrical input across design, testing, installation and commissioning, and provide guidance on MCCs, switchboards, generators and renewables.

Mentoring colleagues and collaborating with clients and suppliers are key parts of the role. With 5+ years of post-graduate experience, you’ll navigate Australian Standards and work closely with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering — Electrical, Electronic or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ post-graduate industry experience.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, construction processes and technical compliance.
• Experience across electrical design, switchboards, control panels, generators, drives, renewables, HV or control systems.
• Commercial awareness, clear communication and confidence working with clients, suppliers and project teams.
• PowerCad-5 experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering input across design, product selection, testing, installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance on MCCs, switchboards, control panels, generators, drives, renewables, HV and control systems.
• Review client specifications, tenders, drawings, calculations and technical deliverables.
• Support site work through inspections, commissioning and practical problem-solving.
• Mentor engineers, chair reviews and contribute to a culture of learning, safety and continuous improvement.
• Partner with clients, suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver smarter, reliable energy solutions.
