Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Mining & Resources team in Brisbane to deliver critical oil and gas projects. You will be the key contact for clients and internal stakeholders, guiding electrical works from concept through implementation and ensuring alignment with client standards.

You will lead and mentor project teams, manage progress and expenditure, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver complete multi-disciplinary solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in LV and HV electrical engineering.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and leading teams.
• Experience managing projects per client policies, standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Electrical Engineering project teams and provide clear technical direction.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane, you'll play a key role in delivering critical oil and gas projects through a long-term partnership with a major client, supporting the ongoing operation of vital gas field infrastructure. You'll be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

• Be a key point of contact with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss and assist with electrical works for a key client on a major oil and gas portfolio of works.
• Lead and supervise Electrical Engineering project teams and provide clear technical direction.
• Build strong relationships with clients and assist in driving opportunities to successful outcomes by providing clear, practical advice from concept through to implementation.
• Work with colleagues from other disciplines to resolve technical challenges and deliver complete multi-disciplinary projects.
• Manage, mentor and supervise a team of other engineers both locally and in remote locations.
• Manage project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes Drive continuous improvement and support best-practice standards.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in LV and HV electrical engineering with the proven ability to apply this technical knowledge to achieve project outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and leading teams with the ability to train, guide and support other engineers.
• Proven expertise in managing projects in alignment with client policies, standards and specifications.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
