Mission Critical Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead and deliver major data centre commissioning projects. You will oversee end-to-end commissioning programs, coordinating testing, logistics and documentation across all project stages.

The role requires electrical qualifications and data centre experience, with sponsorship possible for WHV holders who already have Melbourne-based commissioning exposure or are arriving soon.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified (trade or tertiary).
• Data Centre experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience with electrical systems: power distribution, UPS, generators and control systems.
• Excellent documentation and communication; able to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Sponsorship available for Working Holiday Visa holders with data centre commissioning experience in Melbourne.

MCR are recruiting an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work on large, high profile data centre commissioning projects in Melbourne.

You will oversee and run large scale, technically complex commissioning programs in their entirety.

The nature of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical data centre facilities. You will be involved in all stages of commissioning, from early design, managing commissioning scripts, witness testing and logistics.

Requirements:

• Electrically qualified (trade or tertiary)
• Data Centre experience preferred but not essential, otherwise experience working on technically critical projects
• Proficiency in electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, UPS, generators, and control systems.
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded.
• Must know how to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Sponsorship available for working holiday visa holders with prior data centre commissioning experience already in Melbourne or soon to arrive.
