Job summary

ECQ within the Queensland Government invites you to contribute to delivering the 2028 state and local elections as part of the Election Event Management Team. You will support planning, coordination and timely delivery of election projects to meet deadlines.

You will engage with major stakeholders, apply office systems, and communicate clearly in both written and oral form. This role emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and adherence to statutory requirements in public service.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex projects in a public-sector or similar environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct elections for state registered bodies in accordance with rules and legislation.
• Participate within a team environment, setting priorities to meet workload demands and deadlines.
• Plan and deliver election projects within allocated timeframes, including current data, future planning and strategy.
• Engage in preparations for and conduct of elections in line with legislative requirements.
• Develop strong working relationships with government departments, contracted suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer-based operational systems and office technology.
• Demonstrate well developed oral and written communication skills.
• Contribute to team cohesion and capability, upholding ECQ values and creating a positive environment.
• Support the Election Event Management Team and broader ECQ workforce.
