Job summary

SDN Children’s Services is seeking a Senior Educator for a max-term full-time position at UNSW Randwick. The role runs Monday to Friday in a 3–5 year old preschool room, with 7.6 hours per day and a focus on caring for children and supporting development.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, understand the Early Years Learning Framework, and collaborate with families and staff to create a welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education required.
• 1-2 years relevant work experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Able to create and maintain a positive, safe environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Providing care and supervision to children in a safe and stimulating environment.
• Planning and implementing fun and educational activities that foster developmental growth and assisting children in toilet training, dressing and mealtimes.
• Encouraging creativity, social skills and emotional development through interactive play and learning.
• Communicating with families to share milestones and updates on their child’s progress.
• Collaborating with a team of passionate educators to build a positive, inclusive learning space.
