Job summary

SDN Children’s Services is seeking a Senior Educator / Room Leader for SDN Ngallia Lidcombe to lead and mentor a team in delivering a high-quality early learning program. You will support toddlers’ belonging, confidence, and independence while fostering inclusive practices in a warm, engaging environment.

With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and leadership experience, you will plan and evaluate learning using EYLF, collaborate with families and ensure child safety and well-being

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care required.
• Experience as a Senior Educator with leadership readiness.
• Ability to guide and mentor educators to create inclusive learning.
• Strong understanding of child safety and protection responsibilities.
• Knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards.
• Experience planning, documenting and evaluating children's learning.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and SDN leadership approach.
• NSW Working with Children Check and First Aid certification required, plus Child Protection training.

• Create a safe, engaging environment that encourages exploration through play.
• Plan, implement and evaluate the EYLF-guided program.

• Establish routines that promote trust and transitions.
• Collaborate with families as partners in learning.
• Lead and support the team through collaboration and reflective practice.
