Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment seeks an experienced ecologist for a specialist environmental consultancy. You will lead ecological field investigations, supervise staff on site, and contribute to reporting, assessments and permitting.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified ecologist with more than five years’ experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
BioBanking Accreditation is required.
Demonstrated botanical identification skills.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Decisive project management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform ecological assessment, natural resource management, and environmental impact assessment work.
Provide project ecological management advice considering vegetation, surface water and groundwater impacts.
Oversee construction activities on-site including ecological site inspections.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Manage and deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
Bid for and win new work.
