Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Manager for the Remote Airfield (New Terminal) project based in Perth, WA. The role leads interdisciplinary teams to define construction methods, oversee site activities and ensure delivery within schedule and budget for a complex aviation program.

You will coordinate with field engineers, manage costs, schedules and safety, and report progress to stakeholders. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 10–13 years (or 14–17 years) of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing major infrastructure and/or aviation projects.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrable delivery.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining commercial awareness.
• Prior delivery partner or client-side project management is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary teams to establish construction methods and support activities.
• Review plans, specifications, costs, and constructability; manage corporate processes.
• Oversee construction progress, schedules, costs, and changes; lead proposal preparation.
• Prepare and present reports and forecasts on construction progress and expenditure.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance; monitor contractor performance and conduct toolbox meetings.
