Hyperkind is seeking a Senior Developer (Drupal) based in Melbourne to deliver high-quality Drupal sites and applications. This hands-on role focuses on backend PHP development, integrations, and site-building for government and social impact projects.

You will work with a small, purpose-led digital agency known for trusted partners and ongoing learning. The role offers a mostly remote environment with occasional co-working days in Melbourne and mentorship for junior developers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial Drupal development experience.
• Strong Drupal development experience including PHP, custom module development, Drupal APIs, integrations, and site-building.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to discuss technical concepts with both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to guide and mentor other developers within project delivery.
• Ownership mindset: manage time, priorities and momentum across projects in a pragmatic, solutions-focused way.

Responsibilities

• Develop Drupal websites (PHP, custom modules, integrations, site-building) with testing, maintenance, and documentation.
• Define technical approaches balancing architecture, delivery constraints, quality, risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and other developers to clarify requirements and communicate technical decisions.
