Job summary

Sarandis Design is seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson / Architectural Documenter for our Highgate Studio in Western Australia. You will produce build-ready architectural drawings and ensure accurate representation of design concepts.

As a senior team member, you will guide documentation quality, maintain standards, and collaborate with designers and builders to translate plans into detailed drawings while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' professional experience in architectural drafting and documentation
• Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD
• Strong knowledge of National Construction Codes and Standards
• Understanding of materials and construction methodologies
• Organisational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality architectural working drawings to the relevant building codes and standards
• Collaborate closely with designers and builders to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings
• Review and check working drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance
• Manage multiple projects whilst maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

About the role

Sarandis Design is seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson / Architectural Documenter to join our design team. This is afull-time position based in our Highgate Studio. In this role, you will take responsibility for producing high quality documentation to take our design concepts into buildable solutions. As a senior member of the drafting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our designs are accurately represented and communicated.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high quality architectural working drawings to the relevant building codes and standards
• Collaborate closely with designers and builders to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings
• Review and check working drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance
• Manage multiple projects whilst maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
• Liaise with external consultants to clarify details and resolve documentation queriesStay current with building codes, standards and best practices
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of office standards, templates and drawing systems

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7+ years' professional experience in architectural drafting and documentation
• Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD
• Excellent knowledge of National Construction Codes and Standards
• Strong understanding of materials and construction methodologies
• Organisational and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
