Job summary

Based at our Bundall Head Office, we're looking for an experienced Senior Draftsperson to join our team and play a key role in bringing our decisions to life. This is a hands-on position for someone who is technically strong, confident taking ownership, and enjoys working collaboratively across design, drafting and construction.

You'll be responsible for developing and refining designs and templates, producing high-quality documentation in ArchiCAD, solving technical challenges, and ensuring projects are accurately documented and ready for construction. You will also be the go-to person within the drafting team, sharing your knowledge, supporting the other drafting team members and helping maintain a high standard of work from project start through to completion.

In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of drafting and documentation across projects from design development through to construction, ensuring accuracy, consistency and buildability
• Customise block designs and develop layouts to meet project specific requirements, incorporating sales feedback, operational requirements and design intent.
• Produce accurate, detailed construction documentation using ArchiCAD
• Review documentation, identify potential design or technical issues and proactively develop solutions to resolve challenges.
• Collaborate closely with the Interior Design and Sales team to ensure design intent and project objectives are accurately reflected in documentation.
• Mentor and support other Draftspersons, providing technical guidance and assisting in their professional development
• Coordinate drafting workflows across the team, managing priorities, monitoring productivity and addressing roadblocks to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to the required standard
• Drive pre-plotting outcomes for each stage of resort developments and manage client variations, ensuring all changes are accurately captured and reflected throughout project documentation.
• Continuously review and improve drafting standards, templates and processes to support consistency, efficiency and quality outcomes.

About you:

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, experienced and confident taking ownership. You'll be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and making sound decisions while still be approachable and collaborative.

To be successful, you will:

• Demonstrate high proficiency in ArchiCAD
• Bring 5+ years' experience in residential, resort-style, or similar architectural drafting
• Take ownership of projects from design development through to final documentation
• Have a strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing and buildability
• Identify issues early and develop practical, well-considered solutions
• Be comfortable liaising with designers, site managers and consultants and other stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance to others while maintaining a collaborative and approachable style
• Maintain a strong attention to detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture and project priorities
• Manage competing priorities with a high level of organisation, initiative and minimal supervision
• Be ambitious and motivated to contribute to improving both projects and the drafting team
