Qualifications

• Senior drafting experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical services.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software.
• Experience managing drafting teams, workloads and documentation control.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical coordination issues and clashes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong communication across engineers, contractors and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all drafting operations across commercial HVAC and mechanical services projects.
• Lead, manage and develop a team of in-house draftspersons and contractors.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance with Australian Standards.
• Manage drafting workloads, project priorities and resource allocation.
• Coordinate drafting requirements with engineers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
• Identify and resolve drafting discrepancies and coordination clashes.
• Attend weekly coordination and technical meetings to monitor performance and outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement across drafting systems and processes.
