SMEC is seeking a Senior/Associate Drafter – Bridges & Structures to join our Rail & Metro team in Sydney. You will provide senior drafting leadership across complex transport infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality structural documentation and BIM deliverables.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, coordinating with engineers and designers, mentoring drafting staff, and ensuring compliance with Australian standards. Flexible, hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Civil Drafting is required.
• 8–12+ years of experience in structural drafting for rail/major transport projects.
• Proficiency in Revit for bridge drafting and modelling; familiarity with Australian standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior drafting leadership across Bridge, Structures, Rail & Metro projects.
• Deliver and coordinate high-quality structural documentation for transport infrastructure works.
• Supervise, check and approve drawings for accuracy, compliance and consistency.
• Coordinate digital delivery outputs and work with other design disciplines.
• Manage workloads, priorities and deadlines to meet programme and budget.
• Mentor and support the development of drafting team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to achieve quality outcomes.
