Job summary

Primary Objective:

The role will provide high-level leadership of evidence based, quality teaching and learning aligned to the approved curriculum Transition-Year 6 to deliver on the Department of Education and Training Strategic Plan and support schools in achieving high quality educational outcomes for all students. The role provides strong and effective leadership to multiple teams across primary education services in the Teaching and Learning Services branch. The leader will work in partnership with the Schools and Regions division, schools and communities to co‑design improvement plans and play a key role in delivering strategic action. The leader will work closely with evidence partners, such as AERO and Grattan Institute, to ensure all advice and support is contemporary and evidence based. An Executive contract of up to 4 years may be offered.
