Job summary

You will scale the Sydney hardware organization, mentor a diverse engineering team, establish local labs, and drive cross-functional collaboration with software and central engineering to deliver high-yield, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
• 10+ years of experience in networking or systems hardware design.
• 4+ years of management experience.
• Proficiency with high-layer count PCBs and high-speed design.
• Experience with Ethernet, SMBus, SPI, PCIe, POE, PTP, MDIO.
• DFM expertise and collaboration with contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Scale and grow the Sydney hardware organization.
• Mentor and motivate a diverse hardware team across multiple projects.
• Define and implement processes/tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Establish Sydney hardware labs and manage site requirements and power planning.
• Collaborate with SW and Central Engineering Directors to expand local teams.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve complex hardware issues.
• Translate high-level product direction into executable system designs.
• Drive vendor roadmaps for ASICs, connectors, PCB vendors.
