Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to embed security, automation and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle in Melbourne. You will work with engineering, security and cloud teams to shape secure, scalable solutions for mission-critical capabilities.

You will design and enhance secure CI/CD pipelines, collaborate to improve platform reliability, and develop infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native tooling to enable repeatable delivery across environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or a similar role.
• Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Cloud technologies familiarity (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or equivalents.
• Knowledge of secure software development, vulnerability management and security-by-design.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to automate using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Strong communication across engineering, security and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance secure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security controls are integrated.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and cyber security teams to improve platform reliability and automate processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native environments and security tooling for scalable delivery.
• Support continuous improvement by optimizing automation, monitoring, vulnerability management and DevSecOps practices.
