Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking two Senior DevSecOps Engineers to design, develop and implement the Software Factory and DevSecOps tools, enabling accelerated and secure software delivery for defence programs.

The role involves Azure Cloud and hybrid cloud environments, Kubernetes administration, and contributing to platform roadmaps while collaborating with Engineering and Technology teams to support multiple programs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in supporting software development and operations.
• Experience in deploying GitLab or equivalent tools.
• Experience in deploying and configuring Artifactory/Xray or equivalent tools.
• Automation scripting using Bash/PowerShell/Ansible, etc.
• Good understanding of software package management (docker/podman, NuGet, crates, pip).
• Experience in identity management and RBAC using Active Directory and Keycloak.
• Experience in managing code quality tools such as SonarQube.
• Experience in Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, NSGs, Cost Management, Azure Monitor, ARM templates, AZ CLI, and Azure automation.
• Experience in Linux administration (RHEL) and VMware.
• Experience in restricted networks and defence-related environments is desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; defence industry experience is desirable.
• Eligible for NV1/NV2 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement the DevSecOps tools ecosystem.
• Contribute to cyber assurance and control implementation.
• Create automation scripts to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
• Contribute to platform roadmaps.
• Help create a SaaS-based delivery model for software factory across Raytheon programs.
• Work with Azure Cloud and hybrid cloud ecosystems in a defence setting.
• Keep up-to-date with upcoming DevSecOps trends.
• Demonstrate big-picture thinking while delivering practical value.
• Show deep Kubernetes expertise; CNCF certs are preferred if available.
