Job summary

Amentum seeks a DevSecOps Capability Lead to design, implement and sustain secure software delivery practices across CI/CD environments. You will collaborate with digital engineering, information security and operations to secure and evolve modern software platforms.

The role requires strong DevSecOps frameworks, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and experience in high‑assurance or defence‑related contexts. Location options include Port Adelaide SA or Fishermans Bend, Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Systems Eng, or related.
• Significant experience as Software Engineer/DevOps/DevSecOps in complex environments.
• Proven ability documenting DevSecOps frameworks, policies and SOPs.
• Experience operating development and testing environments aligned with DevSecOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist DevSecOps expertise to design and mature secure software delivery practices.
• Develop policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
• Advise on deployment of DevSecOps toolchains and technology stacks.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and operations to translate requirements into solutions.
• Design, build and maintain high‑assurance CI/CD environments for secure dev and test.
• Set up and evolve cloud/on‑prem development and sandbox environments.
• Document processes to operate and uplift CI/CD environments throughout their lifecycle.
• Support pre‑release testing environments and automated regression testing where feasible.
• Assist with vendor software updates and internal capabilities.
• Support software procurement, development, configuration and integration activities.
• Implement secure development practices using containers and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Align solutions to security controls and accreditation requirements.
