Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Senior Engineer in Sydney to drive the Domain Strategy, architect scalable software, and mentor junior engineers. You will own full project lifecycles, write and review production-ready code, and collaborate with Product Owner to align with customer value.

Key expertise includes .NET, React, TypeScript, cloud platforms, microservices, API integration, and DevOps. This role emphasizes security and engineering excellence within a cross-functional squad.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET, React, TypeScript or similar frontend technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with API and asynchronous integration patterns such as SNS/SQS and Kafka.
• Experience with SQL data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL/Aurora) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis)
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the entire lifecycle of projects: engineering design, development, test, production, and deployment and subsequent fixes and improvements.
• Writes, co-writes, and reviews documentation and production-ready code that is clear and tested.
• Proficient in multiple languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Identifies and resolves issues, balancing speed, quality, and technical debt.
• Approaches work with a security lens and reviews code for vulnerabilities.
