Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate and support cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms in a hybrid, multi-location setup across Queensland and other states. You will work with developers, architects and stakeholders to advance DevOps maturity, automation and cloud optimisation.

Key responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and managing Kubernetes environments with Docker.

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS and/or Azure cloud experience.
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD implementation experience.
• Expertise with GitLab, Artifactory and Jira.
• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Strong Git and version control experience.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Programming skills in Python, Golang and/or JavaScript.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience in production environments.

Location: Multiple locations - QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, SA

Work arrangements: Hybrid

Rate: Market rate

Contract Length: 12 months + 12 month extension

The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, automating and supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms. Working closely with developers, architects and business stakeholders, you'll help drive DevOps maturity, infrastructure automation and cloud optimisation across multiple initiatives.

About You

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong experience across cloud engineering, automation and modern DevOps practices.

Essential Experience

• Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability

Highly Regarded

• Experience administering both AWS and Azure environments
• HashiCorp Vault experience
• Experience implementing intelligent CI/CD automation or AI-driven operational tooling
• Previous Federal Government or large enterprise experience

Requirements

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory
• Ability to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of three days onsite per week
