MYOB is seeking a Senior Developer to join the Embedded Finance team, shaping customer onboarding and verification for payment products. You’ll build scalable, secure services for KYC/KYB, risk checks, and approvals, and contribute to Azure migration and AI‑assisted engineering.

You’ll work with cross‑functional teams across activation, invoicing and payment processing, delivering reliable, automated solutions with strong testing and CI/CD practices.

Formación

• Strong commercial software development experience
• Full-stack capability across modern frontend and backend technologies
• Backend experience with Kotlin or Java
• Frontend experience with React
• Exposure to Node.js is valuable
• Experience designing and operating cloud-based apps, ideally on Azure
• Strong testing, TDD and CI/CD practices
• Comfort working across integrations and complex workflows
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering and modern development practices
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Developer to join our Embedded Finance team and help shape the customer onboarding and verification experience behind MYOB’s payment products.

You’ll work across the end‑to‑end journey that enables customers to access products such as online payments. This includes collecting business and ownership information, supporting KYC and KYB verification, completing risk checks, integrating manual operational reviews and activating approved customers.

This is a hands‑on senior role where you’ll build reliable, secure and scalable solutions while contributing to technical direction and supporting strong engineering practices across the team.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building full‑stack solutions across customer onboarding and verification.
• Developing services that support KYC, KYB, risk assessment and application approval processes.
• Integrating automated workflows with manual operational review processes.
• Working with adjacent teams across activation, invoicing and payment processing to create a connected customer journey.
• Contributing to the team’s migration to Microsoft Azure.
• Using AI‑assisted development practices and helping evolve how AI is embedded across the broader product development lifecycle.
• Improving engineering quality through automated testing, TDD and CI/CD practices.
• Supporting other engineers through technical guidance, pairing and constructive code reviews.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial software development experience, ideally at Senior Developer level.
• Full‑stack development capability, with experience across modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Experience with Kotlin or Java on the backend.
• Experience working with React on the frontend.
• Exposure to Node.js would be valuable.
• Experience designing and operating cloud‑based applications, ideally using Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, TDD and CI/CD practices.
• Confidence working across integrations, distributed systems and complex business workflows.
• An interest in AI‑assisted engineering and modern development practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product and operational teams.
