Job summary

Scott Logic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our hands-on, client-focused team. You’ll participate in the full development life cycle, collaborating in small multidisciplinary groups to deliver pragmatic software solutions and expert advice. You’ll also mentor colleagues, advise clients, and own significant pieces of work.

We're technology agnostic and value passion, proactivity, and a willingness to learn. Remote-friendly with opportunities to work in office clubs and events.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one major language (Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Ability to design and build well-structured, maintainable systems.
• Strong communication and collaborative approach; willingness to mentor others.

Senior Software Engineer

We work with some of the UK's biggest companies and government departments to provide a pragmatic approach to technology, delivering bespoke software solutions and expert advice.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role, offering the opportunity to be involved in the full development life cycle. You'll typically work in small, tight-knit multidisciplinary teams, solving tough software problems. You'll have the opportunity to further develop your career mentoring colleagues, advising our clients, and taking ownership of significant pieces of work.

We're looking for passionate, proactive technologists. We are technology agnostic and use the right language, tooling and frameworks for the job. That means we're open minded when it comes to your existing skillset, but we value the following:

• Good experience in at least one of Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript or TypeScript, and their associated ecosystems.
• You're a problem-solver, pragmatically exploring options and finding effective solutions.
• An understanding of how to design and build well-structured, maintainable systems.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.
