Job summary

Scott Logic seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a hands-on, client-facing capacity. You will participate across the full development life cycle, usually within small, multidisciplinary teams, solving challenging software problems and mentoring colleagues.

You will design and build well-structured, maintainable systems, using your chosen language and ecosystem, while communicating clearly and collaborating with clients. We value growth and eagerness to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in at least one major language (Python, Java, C#, JS/TS) and ecosystems.
• Ability to design well-structured, maintainable systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration.

Senior Software Engineer

We work with some of the UK’s biggest companies and government departments to provide a pragmatic approach to technology, delivering bespoke software solutions and expert advice.

This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role, offering the opportunity to be involved in the full development life cycle. You’ll typically work in small, tight‑knit multidisciplinary teams, solving tough software problems. You’ll have the opportunity to further develop your career mentoring colleagues, advising our clients, and taking ownership of significant pieces of work.

• Good experience in at least one of Python, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript or TypeScript, and their associated ecosystems.
