Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Brisbane-based team, supporting and enhancing critical business applications within the energy sector. This is an initial 2 month contract with a high probability of long term extension.

You will work across modern cloud-native platforms built on Microsoft Azure, combining hands-on development with Level 3 production support to maintain system reliability and deliver enhancements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Application Support Engineer
• Strong background in Azure serverless architectures (Functions, App Services)
• Hands-on experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD-driven environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability in live production systems

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production support, including incident, problem, and root-cause analysis
• Perform code-level fixes and configuration changes through CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in a 24×7 on-call roster for critical systems
• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js (TypeScript) backend services on Azure
• Maintain and enhance React-based Single Page Applications
• Support event-driven and real-time systems using Azure Service Bus and Web PubSub
• Work with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Data Factory ETL pipelines
• Support integrations with AEMO APIs, FTP services, and internal platforms
• Contribute to secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform stability and performance

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 production support, including incident, problem, and root‑cause analysis

Technical Skills Required:

• TypeScript (primary language)
• Git (branching strategies, PRs, code reviews)
• CI/CD automation and release management

Required Experience:

• 5+ years' experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Application Support Engineer
• Strong background in Azure serverless architectures (Functions, App Services)
• Hands‑on experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD‑driven environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability in live production systems
