KBR in Adelaide, South Australia, is seeking a Senior/Principal Designer (Heavy Machinery) to lead design and delivery of heavy machinery systems across industrial and defence projects. The role requires expert AutoCAD Plant 3D skills and extensive multi-disciplinary coordination.

You will mentor junior designers, contribute to design reviews and risk assessments, and engage with clients to drive technical excellence on complex projects in a dynamic, supportive team environment.

Formación

• 8+ years’ experience in design and drafting for heavy machinery systems.
• AutoCAD Plant 3D proficiency is mandatory.
• Experience with Revit is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of heavy machinery systems (conveyors, cranes, and material handling).
• Develop and review 3D models and detailed drawings in AutoCAD Plant 3D (essential).
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate design inputs across mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers and drafters.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
• Support client engagement and project coordination meetings.
• Assist with site activities, including inspections and technical verification.
