Job summary

GHD is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our Victoria & Tasmania Energy market. You will lead senior client-facing initiatives across complex, multidisciplinary energy projects, with accountability for governance, commercial performance and delivery.

Based in Melbourne or Hobart, or discussions about other GHD offices, the role requires strong relationships, initiative and sound engineering judgement to translate client priorities into valuable work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15+ years’ experience in engineering consultancy, construction or utility environments.
• CPEng and RPEV (or eligibility).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary energy projects at Project Director or senior Design Manager level.
• Owner’s Engineer experience across pre and post-FID stages.

Responsibilities

• Proactively win work by originating opportunities and converting client relationships into secured projects.
• Provide senior, client-facing leadership across complex energy projects with governance and delivery accountability.
• Act as Project Director, Design Manager and/or Owner’s Engineer across development to execution stages.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, set priorities, and ensure milestones, quality and client expectations.
