Job summary

Partum Engineering is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Hobart team. You will be an experienced electrical engineer with strong overhead and underground distribution design experience and take ownership of a range of power infrastructure projects.

Focus areas include LV, MV and HV distribution designs, design calculations, and technical documentation. You will collaborate with clients, utilities, contractors and project teams while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified electrical engineer with distribution design experience.
• Experience across overhead and underground networks and LV/MV/HV systems.
• Familiarity with Australian utilities, network operators, or consultancies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver overhead and underground LV, MV and HV distribution designs.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Work with clients, utilities, contractors and project teams.
• Review designs and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and utility requirements.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

About you

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong experience in electrical distribution design
• Experience across both overhead and underground networks
• Knowledge of LV, MV and/or HV systems
• Experience with Australian utilities, network operators or engineering consultancies
• Strong understanding of relevant standards and utility requirements
• Confident managing projects and stakeholder relationships

Experience with Australian network operators will be highly regarded.
