Job summary

Cossill & Webley Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead urban development design in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves managing complex sites from concept to construction, mentoring juniors, and ensuring compliance with authority requirements and client specs.

You will masterplan large sites, oversee documentation, and coordinate multiple projects with a focus on quality, budget, and schedule. Flexible working arrangements are offered within a Melbourne team environment.

Qualifications

• 7-15+ years of experience in civil engineering land development and design.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and current Victorian Professional Engineers Registration.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex urban developments - greenfield, medium density and/or industrial.
• Proficiency in 12D, AutoCAD and PC Convey.
• WD1, WD2, SD1 and SD2 accreditation.
• Proven experience in Victorian engineering standards and approval processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a genuine desire to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects without compromising on quality.

Responsibilities

Cossill & Webley is a market leading engineering consultancy, specialising in land development, infrastructure and industrial projects. We are actively recruiting a Senior Design Engineer to join our Melbourne team and take a senior position on some of our most exciting urban development projects.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
