Job summary

Maven Dental Cairns City is a busy six-chair practice in the heart of Cairns seeking a Senior Dental Receptionist to join on a casual basis. Bring your front-desk expertise to manage appointments, welcome patients, and support clinicians with confidence and professionalism.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in dental reception, strong organisation and communication, and familiarity with dental software such as D4W.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in dental reception or a strong background in dental industry.
• Understanding of dental terminology, procedures and practice workflows
• Experience confidently managing a busy appointment book
• The ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confidence using dental practice software; D4W experience is highly regarded
• A professional, reliable and patient-focused approach
• The ability to work well with clinicians and support staff in a busy practice

Responsibilities

• Managing the front desk and day-to-day reception operations
• Welcoming patients and handling enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, recalls and the appointment book
• Processing payments and completing general administration
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
• Working closely with clinicians to support patient flow
• Providing ad hoc dental assisting support when required
